The Ministry of Economy, Industry, and Investment has launched seven new services through its electronic portal. This announcement was made during a meeting chaired by Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Engineer Muin Al-Mahaqari.
The new services include publishing deposit requests, publishing objections on the portal and ministry websites, submitting objections to deposit requests, responding to objections, requesting trademark ownership transfer, requesting a name change for the trademark owner, and requesting an address change for the trademark owner.
During the meeting, Deputy Minister for Business Services, Judge Abdul Fattah Al-Dhuwed, provided a brief explanation of the new services and the efforts made by the technical team to develop and expand the electronic portal’s services.
Minister Al-Mahaqari praised the efforts of the Business Environment Services sector and the technical team for their role in enhancing the portal's services. He stressed the importance of doubling efforts to complete the launch of remaining services, addressing feedback from private sector beneficiaries and entrepreneurs. This will contribute to streamlining procedures, speeding up the processing of transactions, and ensuring smooth delivery of ministry services.
Regarding the new services, Minister Al-Mahaqari confirmed that the legal period for publication would be calculated from the date of posting on the electronic portal and the ministry’s websites.
He also emphasized the need for continuous development of the services provided through the portal and a complete transition towards electronic operations. This would enhance performance, improve efficiency, expedite processes, and ensure high transparency, ultimately improving the business environment and implementing the Government’s "Building and Change" action plan.
