As part of the government's commitment to supporting investors and their projects, the Deputy Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment for the Industrial Sector, Ayman Al-Khulqi, conducted an inspection visit to the “Saba Kanooz” Sponge Factory in Bani Al-Harith District, the capital Sana’a, to assess the damage caused by a recent fire.
Al-Khulqi explained that the visit was carried out under the directive of the Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Engineer Moein Al-Mahqari, with the aim of evaluating the extent of the damage and exploring ways to support the factory’s management in addressing the aftermath of the incident.
The Deputy Minister emphasized the need for a thorough investigation by the relevant security authorities and a comprehensive assessment of the damages. He also stressed the importance of strengthening safety and prevention measures in industrial facilities to reduce the risk of similar incidents in the future.
He affirmed that the Ministry will stand by the factory’s management by offering a package of facilitations and exemptions, which will contribute to restoring operations and enabling workers to return to their jobs.
Al-Khulqi expressed the Ministry’s regret over the losses suffered by the factory, reaffirming the government’s dedication to supporting the national industrial sector and responding seriously to the unexpected challenges and risks faced by investors
