The Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment, Eng. Moeen Hashem Al-Mahaqari, emphasized that the ministry is working to foster collaboration among local factories to meet their needs through domestic production. This initiative aims to establish a complementary relationship that lays the foundation for sustainable industrial activity, bolsters the national economy, and reduces reliance on imports.
The minister stressed that the Constructive Change Government is determined to build a genuine partnership with the private sector and national capital. This partnership seeks to overcome the challenges previously faced by investors by implementing the incentives and facilities provided under the new Investment Law and the Economic Stimulus Program.
These remarks were made during his visit on Thursday, December 19, 2024, to the Global Glass Company factory. The company’s Chairman, Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ansi, briefed the minister on the factory's operations and the products it supplies to the local market.
The Minister of Economy, Industry, and Investment commended the high quality of the factory’s products and its meticulous work, affirming the government’s support for such pioneering investment projects that add value to products and create job opportunities.
Minister Al-Mahaqari expressed his aspirations for the factory to expand its operations and diversify its production to meet local market demands for glass panels, as well as to supply glass containers for small businesses and other local factories. He encouraged taking full advantage of the benefits and incentives offered by the new Investment Law.
He also highlighted the ministry's commitment to supporting and promoting all industrial and production activities.
